Our Process: From Inquiry to Delivery

Step 1: Initial Contact & Consultation

Reach out to us via our website, email, or phone to discuss your project needs. Whether you’re scouting a single location or multiple sets, we’ll go over your production requirements and determine how Parallax can best support your team.

Step 2: Project Assessment & Proposal

After understanding your needs, we’ll provide a tailored proposal outlining the scope of work, estimated timelines, and deliverables. This includes details on LiDAR scanning, VR environment development, and any additional features required for your production.

Step 3: On-Site LiDAR Scanning

Our team will visit your filming locations and conduct high-resolution LiDAR scans. This process captures precise spatial data, creating an accurate 3D representation of the environment. We ensure every detail is recorded, allowing for an immersive and true-to-life digital replica.

Step 4: 3D Environment Construction

Using the LiDAR scan data, we build a detailed virtual environment. This includes:

  • High-fidelity 3D models of the scanned locations
  • Integration into Virtual Reality platforms for immersive pre-visualization
  • Multi-department access, enabling seamless collaboration across production teams

Step 5: VR Implementation & Compatibility

The finalized 3D environment is optimized for VR use, allowing Directors, Cinematographers, and other key crew members to:

  • Pre-plan shots and camera movements
  • Visualize scene blocking and set logistics
  • Explore locations remotely from any device

Step 6: Client Review & Adjustments

We provide early access to the 3D environment for feedback and necessary refinements. Our team will make adjustments based on your production’s specific needs to ensure accuracy and usability.

Step 7: Delivery & Deployment

Once approved, we deliver the final 3D environment in the required formats, ensuring full compatibility with your team’s devices and VR systems. We also provide guidance on how to integrate the environment into your pre-production workflow.
